Sustainable Fashion Startup Fairly Made Raises $16 Million to Help Brands Track Supply Chain Impact
Sustainable fashion tech start-up Fairly Made announced that it has raised €15 million (USD$16.4 million) in a Series B funding round, with proceeds from the financing aimed at advancing its supply chain tracing solutions to enable fashion brands to accurately measure the environmental and social impact of their products.
Founded in 2018 by Laure Betsch and Camille Le Gal, Paris-based Fairly Made has developed a SaaS platform that enables brands to trace their supply chains, including the origin of raw materials and manufacturing processes, in order to assess the impact of their products. In addition to helping brands comply with regulations, the platform also enables them to provide consumers with digital passports for full product transparency. Fairly Made has partnered with brands including Versace, LVMH, Paul Smith, SMCP, ba&sh, Another Tomorrow, A.P.C, and Courrèges, and has already created over 100 million digital passports.
The company has also recently introduced an Ecodesign module to help brands design products with lower environmental impacts through data-driven insights and real-time simulations.
Fairly Made said that the new capital will be used to scale its platform, including expanding and refining its SaaS technology, adding advanced features for supply chain traceability, impact measurement, and ecodesign, and to grow internationally and enter new markets, as well as to build its team.
Laure Betsch, Co-founder of Fairly Made, said:
“Developing a robust SaaS platform allows us to support brands in addressing the environmental and social challenges of tomorrow. By combining traceability, ecodesign, and consumer transparency, we are equipping the fashion industry with the tools needed to drive meaningful change.”
The investment round was led by BNP Paribas Solar Impulse Venture Fund, GET Fund, ETF Partners and Frenchfounders.
Laura Wirsztel, Partner at BNP Paribas Solar Impulse Venture Fund, said:
“Once a nice-to-have, supply chain visibility has now become a critical first step in implementing sustainable practices. Already a key player in the industry, Fairly Made leverages its cutting-edge SaaS platform to deliver transparency and traceability at scale, while its newly launched Ecodesign module addresses the growing demand for actionable change within the industry. Backed by a visionary team, the Company’s innovative solutions have already earned the trust of an impressive roster of flagship clients.”
