Diginex to Acquire Carbon Accounting and Reporting Platform Plan A
Sustainability RegTech company Diginex announced that it has signed a non-binding MOU to acquire carbon measurement, reporting and reduction software provider Plan A, with the transaction aimed at creating a comprehensive AI-powered ESG and carbon management platform.
Founded by CEO Lubomila Jordanova in 2017, Germany-based Plan A provides a SaaS platform focused on corporate carbon accounting, decarbonization, and reporting, enabling companies to easily collect carbon data, measure carbon footprint, set science-based targets, report progress to stakeholders, and create a comprehensive decarbonization plan. The company’s platform is compliant with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), and includes clients such as BMW, Deutsche Bank, Visa, and Trivago.
Diginex provides software solutions aimed at helping companies to streamline ESG, climate, and supply chain data collection and reporting, utilizing blockchain, AI, machine learning and data analysis technology. The agreement marks the latest in a series of recently announced transactions by the company, including the acquisition of ESG data company Matter from Nasdaq in October, and of supply chain risk monitoring platform Findings in August.
According to Diginex, the new acquisition comes amidst a surging global carbon management software market, driven by regulatory momentum including the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), and rising demand for Scope 3 transparency, AI-driven forecasting, and verifiable net-zero pathways, with the transaction aimed at creating an integrated end-to-end ESG and carbon management solution.
Diginex said that the companies’ combined offering will provide automated data collection through flexible APIs, granular emissions dashboards and audit-ready reporting, enhancing its existing capabilities in supply-chain risk assessment and AI-driven advisory services. The company added that the acquisition targets accelerated revenue expansion from 2026 onward, driven by cross-selling synergies and an extended footprint across Europe, Asia-Pacific, and beyond.
Miles Pelham, Chairman of Diginex, said:
“By combining Plan A’s best-in-class carbon accounting and decarbonization engine with our diginexESG platform and supply-chain transparency tools like diginexLUMEN, we are delivering the one of most comprehensive ESG and carbon management suite available today. Clients will benefit from a single, seamless solution that turns complex sustainability data into clear strategic advantage.”
