Lune Merges with gryn to Create Supply Chain Carbon Data Platform for Shipping and Logistics
Scope 3 visibility platform gryn and supply chain CO2 intelligence and carbon solutions provider Lune announced that they have merged, combining their technologies in a bid to address growing demand for accurate, actionable emissions data in logistics.
Founded in 2022, Germany-based gryn provides software that allows shippers to more easily engage with their logistics providers and consolidate shipment-level data across complex supply chains to support emissions reporting. London-based Lune offers an API that integrates directly into logistics service providers’ systems, generating automated and granular CO2 calculations, as well as supporting access to high-quality carbon projects.
By merging the two platforms, the companies said that they hope to deliver an end-to-end solution spanning data collection, emissions calculation, insights and decarbonization strategies for both shippers and logistics service providers. The companies said that the combination is designed to address persistent challenges in supply chain emissions reporting, including fragmented data, manual processes and limited visibility.
Erik Stadigh, CEO of Lune, said:
“Supply chain decarbonisation requires more than reporting, it requires intelligence that drives real decisions. By bringing Lune and gryn together, we are building the intelligence layer that connects shippers and logistics providers, turns fragmented data into insight and enables measurable impact at scale.”
According to the companies, increased participation by logistics providers is expected to simplify access to emissions data for shippers, while broader shipper adoption is intended to encourage logistics providers to embed CO2 intelligence into daily operations.
The combined company will now serve more than 100 customers and cover millions of shipments globally, including corporate customers such as AstraZeneca, Puma and Philip Morris, and logistics providers like JAS Worldwide, Flexport and Forto.
Lune’s Stadigh will continue as CEO of the merged company, while gryn CEO Oliver Ritzmann will become Chief Strategy Officer and Managing Director for Germany. Lune will gradually become the master brand, with gryn remaining focused on shipper solutions.
Ritzmann said:
“gryn was built to help shippers overcome the data barrier in logistics emissions. Together with Lune’s deep integration into logistics providers, we can finally move from manual data collection to automated, network-driven CO2 intelligence, and unlock a new category of supply chain optimization.”
