Wolters Kluwer Appoints Maria Montenegro as New CEO of Corporate Performance & ESG Unit
Professional services and information solutions provider Wolters Kluwer announced the appointment of Maria Montenegro as CEO of its Corporate Performance & ESG (CP & ESG) division.
Montenegro takes on her new role after 4 years at Wolter Kluwer, where she has been most recently serving as Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer. Prior to joining Wolters Kluwer, Montenegro worked at McKinsey & Company, advising global corporations on portfolio strategy, M&A, and technology transformation.
Wolters Kluwer launched its Corporate Performance & ESG division in early 2023, bringing together four of the company’s enterprise software businesses, to create a single unit focused on providing integrated financial, operational, and ESG performance management and reporting solutions for corporations and banks.
Stacey Caywood, incoming CEO of Wolters Kluwer, said:
“The market served by the CP & ESG division is a key part of our strategy and the impact our solutions have for corporate customers over the globe, is broadly recognized. The division is well-positioned to pursue global growth opportunities in cloud-based AI-enabled enterprise software. Maria will bring great vision and leadership to CP & ESG.”
The new appointment follows the recent announcement by Karen Abramson, who led the division since its formation in 2023, of her decision to leave the firm.
