HSBC Appoints Sophie Brucale as Head of Sustainability for Europe
HSBC has appointed Sophie Brucale as Head of Sustainability for Europe, responsible for leading HSBC’s sustainability agenda across Europe.
Brucale takes on the new role after nearly 20 years at HSBC, most recently serving as Head of ESG & Reputational risks – Enterprise Risk Management since 2022. Additional roles she has held at the bank include Deputy Head of Operational & Resilience Risk – Continental Europe Global Banking & MSS oversight for HSBC Continental Europe, and Head of Marketing and Communication for HSBC Private Bank France.
In her new role leading HSBC’s sustainability agenda in Europe, Brucale will have responsibility for defining and delivering the bank’s regional sustainability strategy in line with priorities including net zero, sustainable finance growth, and climate and nature risk management, enabling client transition, and delivering on sustainable commitments.
