Sustainable finance technology provider Arabesque announced today an agreement to make sustainability scores and data products from its ESG data platform Arabesque S-Ray available on AWS Data Exchange.
Arabesque S-Ray focuses on advisory and data solutions by combining big data and ESG metrics to assess the performance and sustainability of companies worldwide, with offerings ranging from ESG scores, to portfolio screening tools, in depth company analysis and bespoke ESG solutions. The platform utilizes big data and machine learning models to draw on more than four million ESG data points daily from over 30,000 sources to drive key sustainability insights.
S-Ray offerings include GC scores which rate companies on the normative principles of the United Nations Global Compact; ESG scores, providing an industry-specific assessment of companies’ performance on financially material sustainability criteria, and; Temperature Scores, with assessments of how companies report their emissions.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) established AWS Data Exchange in 2019, aiming to provide a service that makes it easy for millions of AWS customers to securely find, subscribe to, and use third-party data in the cloud.
According to Arabesque, the new agreement will enable customers to integrate a suite of ESG metrics for investment management, company analysis, risk management, compliance and reporting, while being able to access raw emissions data for over 3,000 companies worldwide. Clients will now be able to use the AWS Data Exchange API to load Arabesque S-Ray data directly into Amazon’s data storage and analyse it with AWS analytics and machine learning services. In addition, when new Arabesque S-Ray data is published, clients will receive an Amazon CloudWatch event that allows them to programmatically consume the data.
