Norway-based climate tech platform Energi.AI announced the acquisition of sustainability advisory firm CEMAsys. in a move aimed at expanding its capabilities, client base and supporting international growth.

Launched in 2021, Energi.AI has developed an AI platform that automates climate data collection, analysis, and reporting, enabling companies to measure and reduce emissions and manage sustainability performance.

Founded in 2007, Norway-based CEMAsys provides ESG and sustainability management solutions, combining a cloud-based platform with advisory services to support companies to measure, manage and report environmental and social performance.

According to Energi.AI, the transaction comes as sustainability moves from compliance-driven reporting toward continuous, decision-grade data that can be used directly in operational and investment decisions, with the company citing the need for higher-quality, structured datasets that improve benchmarking, risk analysis, and real-time decision support as a key driver behind the deal.

The company added that the acquisition will strengthen its platform through increased data volume, improved benchmarking capabilities, and broader industry coverage, in addition to quadrupling its customer base.
