Global professional services firm Deloitte announced today the launch of a suite of sustainability solutions built on SAP technology, aimed at helping clients shape and manage their sustainable business strategies, with end-to-end offerings from ESG integration and reporting to sustainable finance and supply chain sustainability.
The new solutions include ESG Strategy, enabling the integration of economic, environmental and social performance insights into strategic decisions, business models and future operations; Performance & Reporting, automating ESG reporting to align with policy and regulatory changes and enabling transparency-informed decision making; Climate & Decarbonization, helping accelerate net zero emissions plans; Sustainable Supply Chains, embedding sustainability considerations into day-to-day operations, and helping reduce waste and overall carbon footprint, and; Financing Sustainability, helping identify the right funds for transformation, covering considerations including tax regulations, green funding opportunities, and other evolving vehicles.
The new offerings come as both organizations work to ramp their capabilities and solutions aimed at helping clients manage increasing sustainability and climate challenges. In April, Deloitte, announced plans to invest $1 billion in its Sustainability & Climate practice, focused on expanding its capabilities, assets and services to support clients and address their growing sustainability-related needs. Earlier this year, SAP introduced SAP Cloud for Sustainable Enterprises, which bring together the company’s portfolio of solutions aimed at enabling businesses to holistically manage sustainability performance.
Punit Renjen, CEO, Deloitte Global, said:
“Deloitte’s alliance with SAP helps our respective organizations to tap into our broad spectrum of capabilities and deep sustainability experience. Together, we bring the best of both organizations to develop comprehensive, issue-based technology offerings that help our clients address rapidly changing business environments.”
The companies also unveiled a roadmap for future sustainability offerings, including an upcoming “ESG Reporting as a Service” solution, and exploratory assets including “Sustainable Procurement,” and “Sustainable Finance” (see image below).
SAP CEO Christian Klein said:
“Sustainability is a team sport, and we are excited to collaborate with Deloitte to help customers achieve their ESG goals with SAP technology.”
