Sustainability ratings and solutions provider EcoVadis and sustainability data platform CO2 AI announced the launch of a new partnership aimed at helping organizations accelerate their Scope 3 decarbonization efforts with clearer and more accurate supply chain carbon data.

According to EcoVadis, the new partnership forms part of its efforts to build its Carbon Data Network (CDN), a data exchange launched by the company last year, designed to enable procurement teams to connect suppliers’ primary carbon emission data directly into their Scope 3 reports.

Under the new collaboration, supplier carbon ratings and primary emissions data will be integrated directly into the CO2 AI platform, allowing mutual customers to move beyond spend-based estimates to data-backed primary insights, and to identify high-impact supplier interventions and track real-world performance, and build audit-ready reporting foundations. The companies said that the new partnership comes as companies are under pressure to report on Scope 3 supply chain emissions, but often remain reliant on industry averages.
