Bureau Veritas Launches New Supply Chain Emissions Engagement Solution
Bureau Veritas’ sustainability solutions platform AITrack announced the launch of Supply Chain Engagement, a new solution aimed at enabling companies to collect and validate supplier emissions data to support procurement decisions, product strategy, mitigation planning, and sustainability reporting.
Bureau Veritas acquired AITrack in 2024 through its acquisition of sustainability planning solutions provider Aligned Incentives, with the platform focused on enabling companies to produce custom process-based life cycle assessment (LCA) for every product across a corporate portfolio.
According to Bureau Veritas, the new solution builds on AITrack’s corporate and product footprinting capabilities to enable companies to collect, validate, and integrate supplier-specific LCA, environmental product declarations (EPD), and product carbon footprints (PCF) into their corporate inventory, as well as to equip suppliers with LCA tools to assess the impacts of their own products.
Key features of the new solution highlighted by Bureau Veritas include capabilities to run customized campaigns for current or prospective suppliers with automated invitations, reminders, and progress tracking; accept EPD, LCA, and PCF submissions by suppliers and assign automatic quality grades based on documentation type and verification status; enable suppliers to calculate their own LCA results with product category-specific tools, and; review and integrate supplier data into Scope 3 inventories while maintaining an audit trail from supplier data collection through final reporting.
Rui Fernandes Teixeira, Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing Sustainability at Bureau Veritas, said:
“Supply chain emissions remain one of the biggest challenges for organizations pursuing credible sustainability progress. With AITrack Solutions and its new Supply Chain Engagement capabilities, we are helping organizations move beyond estimates and generic supplier surveys toward product-specific, supplier-powered insights at scale.”
