London-based credit investment manager Channel Capital Advisors announced the appointment of Daouii Abouchere as Head of ESG and Sustainable Finance. In her new role, Abouchere will have responsibility for implementing Channel’s ESG framework and for driving the firm’s sustainable finance strategy, working with clients to develop and execute new ESG and sustainable financing solutions.
Abouchere has worked with Channel as a Senior Advisor/Scientific Board Member since early 2020, has held advisory roles with the World Economic Forum and the International Economic Forum of the Americas, and has also worked independently as a Sustainable Finance and Social Impact Consultant.
Marcus Fedder, Chair of Channel’s Global Advisory Board said:
“I am excited that Daouii is taking the step to join Channel on a full time basis, underlining the importance we all place in the implementation of ESG across the firm. Furthermore, given her background, it is clear that Daouii will not rest at the concept stage but work closely with Channel’s clients in taking the business of sustainable financing to the next level.”
Walt Gontarek, Channel CEO added:
“Channel has been long sensitive to both social and governance issues from a cultural and investment risk lens. We are now embracing ESG in a systematic manner because Channel and its stakeholders want to take a proactive position towards change on environmental and sustainability too. I am very excited to be part of this journey with Daouii, Marcus and our stakeholders to lay the foundation towards lasting change”.
