Danske Bank Names New Head of Sustainable Investments
ESG Today has learned that Erik Eliasson has been named as Danske Bank’s new Head of Sustainable Investments.
We spoke with representatives at Danske Bank, who provided the following statement:
“Erik Eliasson has headed the Sustainability & Impact Investment team on an interim basis since 1 July 2020. Erik is now appointed as permanent head of the team, and the team will be anchored organisationally in Asset Management, reporting to Head of Asset Management, Atilla Olesen.”
Danske Bank also stated that the Sustainability and Impact Investment team has been renamed “Sustainable Investments.”
Eliasson took on the role of interim role as head of the Sustainability & Impact Investment team following the resignation on June 30 of Ulrika Hasselgren. Eliasson joined Danske Bank in early 2015, and has held several positions in the bank, most recently as Head of ESG Research & Analytics. He currently serves as a board member of Dansif, a network forum for professional investors, advisory companies and others involved in responsible investments in Denmark, and has also served as a Member of the Board of Danske Capital AB.
