DWS Announces Commitment to Human Capital Reporting Standards
DWS, one of the largest asset manager in Europe, announced today that it has become one of the first organisations to be certified in accordance with ISO 30414, Human resource management – Guidelines for internal and external human capital reporting, and has committed itself to the Human Capital Reporting Standards.
ISO30414 was established by the International Standards Organization (ISO) in 2018. According to ISO, the standard, applicable to enterprises of all types and sizes, provides guidelines on core HR areas such as organizational culture, recruitment and turnover, productivity, health and safety, and leadership. ISO stated that it is the first International Standard that allows an organization to get a clear view of the actual contribution of its human capital.
DWS said that it recognises that effective management and development of human capital is a key driver of its organisational success and sustainable people management, and that today’s announcement reinforces the firm’s commitment to ESG and strategy to support the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Kristina Fluegel, Head of DWS Human Resources, said:
“We are absolutely delighted to be one of the first organisations to be certified in accordance with these standards and aspire to lead in this developing area of disclosure. This is particularly important given that enhanced human capital disclosures will improve sustainability, investment analysis, investee engagement and stewardship, client understanding and the management of organisations globally.”
