Federated Hermes Impact Opportunities Fund Adds Director and Senior Analyst to Team
Investment management firm Federated Hermes announced today the addition of two new hires for its Impact Opportunities team. The firm announced it has added Amélie Thévenet as Director, and Jordan Patel as Senior Analyst. The new hires will report to Ingrid Kukuljan, Head of Impact Investing.
With £488 billion AUM, Federated Hermes provides asset management services covering equity, fixed income and private markets, in addition to multi-asset strategies and liquidity-management solutions, with a focus on responsible investing. The company is also a leading provider of stewardship services, engaging companies on strategic and sustainability concerns. The Impact Opportunities Fund aims to invest in companies that generate value by creating positive and sustainable change.
Amélie Thévenet joins Federated Hermes after 13 years at Jupiter Asset Management. In her most recent role, Thévenet served as Fund Manager, Global Emerging Markets (GEM) Equities, managing the Jupiter Asian Fund, as well as GEM segregated accounts. Since March 2017, she ran GEM Sustainable paper fund aligned with the UN SDGs. Her coverage included Healthcare and IT Services sector across GEM, and Consumer Discretionary in Asia. Thévenet takes on her new role with a view to becoming co-portfolio manager on the Federated Hermes Impact Opportunities Fund, with responsibilities including making investment decisions, working closely with Ingrid and Martin Todd, co-portfolio manager, to select impactful companies providing solutions to unmet needs in society as represented by the UN SDGs.
Jordan Patel is joining Federated Hermes in the position of Senior Equity Analyst for the Impact Opportunities Fund. In his new role he will provide company-specific and thematic research which will include the analysis of SDG-related themes for incorporation into investment appraisals. He will also actively contribute investment ideas that meet the impact criteria of the fund’s strategy. Patel spent three years as an equity analyst at Titan Capital Management, with an initial primary coverage of equities across Global Energy and Shipping. At Titan he spearheaded several ESG-themed investment ideas in areas including renewables, clean technology and water. Prior to joining Titan, Patel spent 4 years in research positions at AB Bernstein.
