Global consumer internet groups and technology investors Prosus and Naspers announced today the appointment of Prajna Khanna as the Group’s new Global Head of Sustainability.

Khanna joins the Group after more than five years at professional and consumer lighting leader Signify, where she served as Head of Corporate Social Responsibility and Director Signify Foundation. Prior to joining Signify, she worked as a Sustainability Advisor to financial services provider ING Group, and as a Communications Manager for Greenpeace International.

David Tudor, Group General Counsel at Prosus and Naspers said:

“We are delighted to welcome Prajna Khanna as our new Global Head of Sustainability, which we consider a critical part of our value creation process. As a global consumer internet group and one of the largest technology investors in the world, we believe that sustainability is central to our purpose and strategy and inseparably connected to the risks and opportunities that we face as a global group. As we strive to improve everyday life for millions of people across the world, we are acutely aware of the environmental and social impact of our business decisions and activities – and we take this responsibility seriously. Prajna will lead our efforts to amplify our sustainability agenda, leveraging our resources to scale solutions that make a positive contribution to the communities we serve across the world.”
