IASE Appoints Carmen-Daniela Micu as New Global Chair
The International Association for Sustainable Economy (IASE) has named Carmen-Daniela Micu as its new Chair, responsible for leading the global ESG professional accreditation certification organization. Micu replaces outgoing Chair Javier Manzanares Allen.
The IASE was launched earlier this year, establishing the first association in the world to certify professionals in the field of ESG completely online. The organization aims to begin official online exams in March 2021, to certify the knowledge and skills of professionals in the domain of ESG subjects. Professionals who meet educational and experience requirements, pass the Professional Competency Exam/Board Exam, and agree to abide by IASE’s Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility can achieve ISF (international Sustainable Finance) or ISB (International Sustainable Business) certification, earning accreditation as an expert in the field of ESG and sustainability.
Carmen-Daniela Micu is currently CEO & Founding Member, and board member of ENVISIA – Boards of Elite, the first Business School in Romania for Board Directors. Over her 25 year career, she has held senior positions in general management and in marketing & communication functions in companies across a range of industries, including serving as CEO of Omnicom Media Group. Micu joined IASE in July 2020 as Vice Chairman of the Board, also serving as IASE’s Romania Director.
Micu said:
“IASE seeks to be the reference in ESG at an international level that aspires to deepen the sustainable development of our society by certifying professionals in ESG matters and in an environment of continuous innovation. Our Mission is to establish, uphold and promote global standards for the ESG profession through the ISFS (International Sustainable Finance Specialist) and ISBS (International Sustainable Business Specialist) twin certification marks – fostering the new generations ESG professionals.”
