Phoenix Group Appoints Claire Hawkins to Exec Committee, In Charge of Sustainability Strategy
Savings and retirement business Phoenix Group announced new executive appointments today, including the promotion of Claire Hawkins to Corporate Affairs and Investor Relations Director. In her new role, Hawkins will be responsible for Phoenix’s external relations activity, including the Group’s Sustainability strategy. Phoenix also announced the hiring of Andy Curran, joining as CEO Savings and Retirement, UK and Europe and Group Director Scotland.

Ms. Hawkins has been working for Phoenix companies for nearly 20 years, leading a number of transformational projects and enhancing investors’ understanding of the Group and its strategy, notably contributing to Phoenix’s success in joining the FTSE100 index in 2019.
Phoenix has made a number of significant executive appointments lately, including the hiring of Michael Eakins as Chief Investment Officer last week, to lead the group’s newly created dedicated investment team. At the time, the company also announced that its new investment team will take a proactive approach to responsible investing, embedding ESG considerations in the investment decision-making process, stating that this is a key pillar of the firm’s sustainability strategy.
