CBRE Hires Robbie Epsom as EMEA Head of ESG
Global real asset investment management firm CBRE Global Investors announced today the appointment of Robbie Epsom as EMEA Head of ESG. In this newly created role, Epsom will head the EMEA implementation of the firm’s sustainability vision. According to CBRE, Epsom’s priority for 2021 will be the continued integration and harmonisation of ESG practices throughout the business.
Aleksandra (Sasha) Njagulj, Global Head of ESG at CBRE Global Investors, said:
“Robbie joins us at an exciting time as we enter the next stage in expansion of our global sustainable real assets investment management strategy. His extensive experience and impressive track record mean that he is well-positioned for the newly created role as it increasingly becomes a top priority for our real assets investors, our tenants and is fundamental to our business and to driving long-term outperformance. We very much look forward to working with him.”
Epsom joins CBRE Global Investors from engineering and professional services consultancy WSP, where he worked since 2016, most recently serving as Associate Director – Sustainability Advisory Services, specializing in sustainability strategy and reporting. Prior to WSP, he held sustainability-related roles in companies including energy and climate change consultancy Ricardo, and design, engineering and project management consultancy Atkins.
Epsom said:
“This is a great opportunity to join a firm that has ESG at the heart of their investment strategies and at this pivotal moment in history for environmental and societal issues. With the built environment responsible for nearly 40% of global greenhouse gas emissions, this feels like the right place to be as we enter this critical decade for the planet, and I look forward to working with Sasha and the team to continue building on their success to date.”
